About us
We are a full service pharmacy located in Costa Mesa, California, a coastal city in Orange County. We specialize in personalized medicine to achieve optimal health for our patients. Our focus is primarily on customized formulations of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, but we also specialize in compounded pediatric medicines, pain therapies, custom thyroid strengths, veterinary formulations, and dermatological preparations.
Harbor Compounding is a PCAB certified pharmacy and a member of the BBB, proving its commitment to both quality and service.
From its inception in the early 90's, Harbor Compounding has offered patients quality-customized medications to help patients rebalance their hormones, achieve higher nutritional levels, detoxify their bodies, and fill the gap in quality of life medicine where conventional medicine could not.

Michael
Michael Hua has been the Pharmacist-in-Charge for Harbor Compounding since its inception. Michael is fully devoted to patients and physicians at Harbor. His exceptional service to patients is exemplified with his thorough and in-depth patient consultations. Michael also meets regularly with doctors and prescribers to educate and trains them on different hormone modalities.
Sam
Sam works as a compounding pharmacist at Harbor, but also manages pharmacy in all aspects pertaining to operations, personnel training, and quality assurance. He makes sure that all compounded medications that are dispensed meets our standards, and if there are any deviations, Sam leads the team to investigate and improve our processes for better outcomes.
Angela
Angela used to work with Walmart Pharmacy, but fully transitioned to become a full-time compounding pharmacist at Harbor Compounding Pharmacy. She enjoys consulting with patients regarding their hormone therapies, ensures proper insurance billing of compounds, and managing the pharmacy workflow so patients will receive their orders in a timely manner.
Grace
Grace is our newest addition to our pharmacist team. She loves learning about how to manage patients on hormone therapies and thoroughly enjoys consulting with patients. Grace is our lead verification pharmacist and ensures that patients' medicatons are accurate and correct.
Chris
Chris has been a Business Manager with Harbor since the beginning, and contributes his knowledge and expertise to ensuring all administrative and business processes at our pharmacy are working smoothly. In his spare time, Chris contributes to the Costa Mesa community by volunteering his time to coaching high school football. His passion is to support and instill confidence to disadvantaged kids wherever he can.
Ky
Ky has been a manager with Walgreens for ten years before transitioning to a Human Resources Manager with Harbor since 2014.
Telma
Telma has been marketing for Harbor Compounding since the first day. Telma is passionate about making connections with physicians and prescribers and figuring out their needs. She is a problem solver and brings Harbor and prospective physicians together to produce better outcomes for their patients.
Edmundo
Edmundo not only works in our claims processing department but also heads the front end of our pharmacy. His unique taste for vintage jewelry, eclectic gifts, and gourmet cookbooks is well reflected in our small giftshop. He also manages our supplement collection and places special orders for patients who have unique needs.
