PADR is the Pakistan section of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR). PADR was established in 2011 to provide an International platform for the dental community of Pakistan to present and discuss their research work. I am honored and privileged to begin my term as the 2017-18 president of the Pakistan Association for Dental Research (PADR). Previous leadership did a remarkable job to raise the standards of research within the country. I look forwards to continuing this important work toward fulfilling the mission of PADR. As president I would encourage all dentists to take active participation in the events that this association is bringing forward. We also invite new members to join us in our mission to support dental education, community service and to promote the multi-disciplinary field of dentistry.
5th Annual PADR Conference has been planned at Institute of Dentistry, CMH Lahore Medical College on 12th- 14th of October 2018 in Lahore. The core theme of the conference is ‘Evidence Based Clinical Dentistry’. We aim to bring together the dental community to take part in its various activities; which include lectures by foreign speakers, workshops, poster and oral presentation competitions. Not only is this is a great platform to interact with national and international representatives of dentistry but also an opportunity to explore the historical city of Lahore.
